Learning through responsibility

David's interest in leadership and entrepreneurship developed alongside his education. Debate, public speaking, and student leadership gave him practice in listening to different perspectives, communicating clearly, and taking responsibility for shared concerns.
Those experiences shaped an understanding of leadership as practical work: identify a problem, bring people together, and keep moving toward a useful solution. They also strengthened his interest in law, governance, business, and the institutions that help communities progress.
An entrepreneurial vision for discovery
While still in secondary education, David began exploring business models, marketing, sales, and the ways digital platforms could help African businesses become more visible and connected to opportunity. He was especially interested in how technology could reduce barriers between people, services, and markets.
That exploration led to the idea behind Ramah Digital: a platform connecting travelers, local explorers, hospitality businesses, experience providers, and creators. The vision treats travel and everyday discovery as more than movement between destinations; it is also a way to create relationships, knowledge, participation, and economic value.
Learning to turn an idea into software

When experienced technical collaborators were not readily available, David chose to acquire the skills needed to move the idea forward himself. He began studying programming, frontend and backend development, databases, application architecture, and the practical tools required to develop digital products.
His technical learning remains grounded in execution. He approaches software as a way to test ideas against real problems, improve through iteration, and make a product useful to the people it is intended to serve. The process has reinforced his belief that ambition needs a disciplined path from concept to implementation.
Founding and leading Ramah Digital
As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, David leads Ramah Digital's strategic direction, product vision, business development, and early-stage execution. He contributes across the company, from shaping product experiences and building software to engaging prospective partners and learning from the market.
Ramah Digital is developing visual discovery, hospitality and experience listings, booking capabilities, and emerging AI-assisted tools over time. The company is building from South Sudan with a longer-term ambition to serve people and businesses beyond its initial market, while staying honest about what is available today and what remains in development.
A long-term African enterprise
David believes entrepreneurship should create value beyond individual success. Businesses can solve problems, develop talent, create employment, and strengthen the communities and markets in which they operate.
His leadership approach emphasizes learning, discipline, integrity, responsible stewardship, and measurable execution. Through Ramah Digital, he is taking an early step toward building useful technology from South Sudan with a perspective grounded in Africa and an ambition that extends beyond its borders.
